is the client update just to update the AC or does it install both AC and the update? O_o

its just a rar file that you extract the AC from, you don't have to install it, just run

Do you have both of these windows updates installed?

Do you have combat arms closed when you run it?

You should just extract it to your desktop, run it, it will ask you to approve terms of use and then ask you to select a game and enter your ingame name. After those are entered it should tell you to open the game.
