hyper cam is a desktop recorder though..not a direct 3d recorder.

Hypercam is a 2D application recorder. It's just been very well developed that it can record in some degraded decency in some 3D games, like Combat Arms, or Counterstrike. Get into the CoD series and you'll flop.
