my exact statement posted to my admins while going through the scores and stats for the past week choosing the PotW's:

i think a lot is lost on the mission plants in SND and they too quickly turn into "No re-Spawn Elimination" matches. Thats fine on the D side, but I would rather someone go 0/100 with 30 plants to win SND because they are playing to the game type.We aren't running an Elimination league, when we do the people that just want to kill and play no strat for the game type will shine.

The awards look like a fun thing to entertain ourselves with. Fun.

SnD is all about the bomb, too many people are making it a 'who can get the most kills' kind of game. Realism is kind of being played through it in a sense, or at least feels like it. Could probably be why it's one of the most popular game modes.

I personally think though that someone with 30 kills in SnD shouldn't be discounted because someone got 4-7 plants/defuses in a single SnD match. But really all this shows is the debates that will pursue the accusations of biasness of choosing the players for the wards. Oh what fun!

only way to know is by seeing how the match is played in POV's to know who the MVP is clutching the win. Not just who has most frags/bomb plants.

thats true, would be nice to have a seperate award for "clutch moment of the week" that would be decided based on video submission, but these things are not up to me
